Effetto Mariposa was born in Italy in 2007 with the goal of finding ideal solutions to the most common problems faced by cyclists.

The name ‘Effetto Mariposa’ is a blend between Italian and Spanish (mariposa means butterfly in Spanish and effetto is effect in Italian). It was conceved as a tribute to the Chaos Theory concept that sparked the term "Butterfly Effect."
