How steep is it? Use the Sky Mounti for accurate grade measurement.
In 1987, we found the Sky Mounti Inclinometer at a trade show in Germany. We thought it was a clever design, well-made, and that it did a single job well – it measures grade. Dependable as gravity.
Much like a carpenter’s level, a bubble floats within a curved bubble tube so the bubble comes to rest at the highest point in the tube. The leading edge of the bubble indicates uphill grade percentage; the trailing edge measures descending grades.
The viscous liquid in the bubble tube dampens vibration so the bubble moves to indicate pitch but doesn’t bounce around like it otherwise would.
- Dependable as gravity - no batteries
- Measures Steepness of Ascents and Descents
- Fits 31.8 mm diameter bars. Supplied with rubber sleeves for fitting to old-school 26.0 mm handlebars.
- Scale: -20 - +20% grade
