Notice: the use of a Caffélatex Tubeless Kit with standard tube-type tyres is done under the user's sole responsibility.

External Width of the Rim Section determines Tape Width

Caffelatex Race Tape is for rims with an external section from 22 to 25mm (for example: MavicXC717, XM719, American Classic 350, DT4,1, DT4,2, Notubes Olympic, ZTR355, Arch, FRMXMD333, etc...)

Caffelatex Heavy-Duty Tape is for rims with and external section from 25 to28mm (for example: Mavic EX721, Notubes Flow, etc...)

External Rim Section Width for Tape Selection

Kit requires the Rims to be Drilled for Presta Valves

In order to use the kit successfully the wheels / rims must be PRESTA-DRILLED (1/4" valve hole). NO SCHRADER VALVE HOLES (21/64" valve hole).

Rims Drilled for Presta Valves is a Must

Tire Size determines Amount of Caffelatex to Use

It depends upon your tire size and brand. We suggest the following amounts of Caffelatex:

Bike Type Tire Size Amount of Caffélatex
Road Bikes all 25 ml -> 50 ml
MTB 26 x 1.50 through 2.10 50 ml
MTB 26 x 2.10 + 100 ml
MTB snow tire 26 x 3.7 + 150 ml
MTB 29 x 1.50 through 2.00 50 ml
MTB
29 x 2.00 +
100 ml

The above figures are some good starting points. Not all tire sizes across all tire brands are created equal. You will need to do some experimentation to find the best amount to use.

Customer Comments about Caffelatex

"CaffeLatex + Mavic Open Pros + GEAX Saguro = Much Success." -- al415

"This stuff is the bomb! 2 expensive sew-ups repaired with it in the last 3 weeks!  On one of them I injected it through a Zipp valve extension no problem. Thanks" -- Karl

"I had 6 bikes on STP that used Caffelatex and not one flat. I had 4 regular tube bikes and 2 tubeless bikes. The stuff works awesome. I became a believer when I had a customers tubular tire get a hole and it sealed it even with 180 psi." -- Brian

"Caffelatex it is by far the best sealant I have used ever." -- Andrew Chaffe, Shimano Tech Rep

"Caffelatex has been the best available solution I have used so far. It is easily introduced through valve stems and seals punctures very well. It claims the sealant foams up while riding to provide better sidewall protection. While I can not vouch for that yet, it does foam out of my valve stem when I open it. In my still ongoing tests, the CaffeLatex product remains wet going on month five now." -- Ted

"In short, the Caffelatex sealed up a tire another sealant did not. I worked for 3 hours trying to seal up the pinholes to no avail. Later we figured to use your Caffelatex sealant, seeing as how we had just done a tubeless conversion for a customer, and wanted to see what your stuff could do. One hour later, the tire sealed despite multiple pinholes in the sidewall. The other sealant fell flat in this application." -- Dan

"I have been using this sealant for about a month now with Stans Crows. This stuff seals on the money. No complaints. The valve stems that I got from the same company are tip top as well. I could go into detail but Guitar Ted says it all and better... http://twentynineinches.com/...-final-review/. Surprisingly, great service too... I ordered the sealant and valve stems from this place right after ordering some tires from Alfred E bikes, and the sealant was delivered 2 days earlier. (I took the cheapest shipping option on both)." -- j_short

"Yes I do and adding glitter (art supply) will even seal the most stubborn punctures. I have had two instances now with sidewall cuts seal and still holding after many rides. I have been using for about 5 mos. now and even taken out of the old and reused it. Christ this $hit sealed a new set of Racing Ralph EVOs thats saying alot...." -- mattybfat

"What I find really annoying with setting up regular tyres is the shaking. With some tyres I ended up shakin for days. My most recent set up, ZTR355-Racing Ralph-Stan, held the air quite but there was always some significant loss. Despite shaking for days. Three days ago I added some Caffelatex and shaked it once: no air loss for three days now!! This foaming stuff should make the initial set up super easy." -- quax

"First, the set up. I did the Rampage first and there was alot of sealant at the bead and in sidewall pin holes. I did it Stan's style and with a few flips all was well. This set up didn't hold air well w/out sealant. I had some leaking from the spoke holes and valve, but after a few good spins these leaks have been sealed. The Captain 2.2 held all of it's air for 1 1/2 hours before injecting the Caffe Latex. This time I just spun the wheel and laid it on it's side for a couple of minutes and repeated. These have been good to go. Part of what makes this nice is the injector, just screw it on and inject. No valve core removal necessary. It also works well with presta or schraeder tubes. After a couple of weeks of use, both the tubeless and tubed set ups are going strong. One of my friends who has it in his tubes has been flat free, which is near impossible for him and his riding style. Fwiw, we ride rigid ss 29 on trails ranging from buff singletrack to rock gardens and jumps. The customer service has also been great. I called them with a few questions and suggestions and they were very nice and helpful." -- plesurnpain

"Caffe is the way to go. People I know are having much better luck with it over Stans." -- TIMBERRR

Using the Caffelatex Injector with RVC Presta Valves

Using the CaffeLatex Injector use the metal valve fitting if the valve core cannot be removed. If a RVC valve then remove the valve core and remove the fitting from the end of the injector tube.

Using a RVC (Removable Valve Core) Presta valve is highly recommended. Remove the entire metal fitting from the end of the injector tube. Remove the valve core from the Presta valve. Next slide the tube from the Caffelatex injector directly onto the Presta valve.

Using the Caffelatex Injector with non-RVC Presta Valves

Using the Caffelatex injector with a non-RVC Presta Valve

If using a non-RVC (non removable valve core) Presta valve simply attach the metal fitting on the end of the caffelatex injector tube onto the Presta valve.

If you are not removing the valve core mechanism, it is recommended to immediately inflate the tire with a pump after injecting the sealant through the valve. This cleans the valve internals.

Using the Caffelatex Injector with Schrader Valves

using the Caffelatex injector with Schrader Valves. Remove the presta adaptor portion at the end of the caffelatex injector tube. Then attach to schrader valve.

This injector also works with Schrader valves. Remove the Presta valve adaptor portion of the metal fitting (the first metal piece on the end of the injector tube). Then attach the metal fitting at the end of the Caffelatex injector tube on to the Schrader valve.

It is recommended to immediately inflate the tire with a pump after injecting the sealant through the Schrader valve. This cleans the valve internals.
