The GF Basic (GiustaForza "Correct Force" Torque Wrench) is the same great bicycle torque wrench as the GF Standard, and is specifically designed for precision lightweight bicycle parts.

The big difference between the GF Basic and the GF standard is that the GF Basic comes without bits (absolutely no bits included so it brings the price down). The GF Basic is great for those mechanics that have their own bits already.

Note: Always return the GF setting back to 2 Nm when not in use to ensure long-term accuracy.

  • Extremely User-Friendly
  • Ideal Torque Range, 2-16 Nm
  • Graduated scale with 0.5 Nm increments
  • Body: Anodized aluminum
  • Adjustment knob: Steel
  • Bit-holder: Steel
  • Weight 169g
  • Professional precision: +/-4% guaranteed for 5,000 clicks (torque applications)
  • Unique serial number
  • Case: Ultra Slim Box
  • Recalibration: $50 + S&H
  • Made in Italy

NO BITS INCLUDED WITH THIS GF BASIC:
If you want bits included with your GF checkout the GF Standard, or if you want bits and a molded travel case check out the GF PRO. Bits can be purchased seperately of the GF torque wrench in the GF Bitbox.

The GF Basic (GiustaForza Basic "Correct Force" Torque Wrench) is the first bicycle torque wrench specifically designed for precision lightweight bicycle parts. No bits are included with the GF Basic wrench.

Note: Always return the GF setting back to 2 Nm when not in use to ensure long-term accuracy.

Ideal Torque Range, 2-16 Nm*
This is the best torque range for precision bicycle applications and 'sensitive' components. 2 Nm is good for small aluminum screws, 16 Nm is enough for big M6 bolts used in some seatposts. A wider scale wouldn't allow the same precision at the range extremes. In use, always refer to the suggested (on technical documentation or on the part itself) torque values.

Extremely User-Friendly

  • set the maximum torque rotating the handle terminal, reading the torque on the tool-window (Graduated scale with 0.5 Nm increments)
  • insert the appropriate bit (depending on the bolt you need to tighten)
  • using the tool, a loud 'CLICK' and a 3° free-movement tells when the torque has been reached
setting the desired torque (Nm) could not be easier

Lightweight & Strong

The light aluminum body keeps the weight down to a record-breaking 169g per wrench, less than half the weight of heavy industrial wrenches often used for bicycles. This is paramount to get the right torquing sensitivity at low torque values, without mistaking the effort to hold the tool with the applied torque. Adjustment knob and bit-holder are made of steel, to better stand daily use.

165mm long, weighting just 169g

Professional Precision

Torque tolerance is +-4%, according to UNI EN ISO 6789:2004 norm (calibration certificate with SIT reference is available for a new torque wrench upon request for an additional cost of $50).

Calibration Service

After 5000 cycles (5000 'clicks'), the GF wrench should be re-calibrated. Calibration is a service we offer in our laboratories at the cost of $50 plus $9.95 shipping and handeling. After every calibration, the tolerance of +/-4% over nominal values is guaranteed. After calibration, the wrench will return to the customer with a calibration certificate.

A State-of-the-Art Tool

Made in Italy, functional, linear in design, and precise in any detail: shouldn't be a surprise to know that Giustaforza 2-16Nm has been conceived and produced in Italy. The tool is hard-anodized with laser-etched inscriptions, and it's built to last. Each sample is checked and numbered as a single masterpiece.

each wrench is numbered as a 'unique' masterpiece

Easy and Safe to Carry

The safety package protects the tool from shocks and keeps the overall size down to 6.6 x 1 x 1 inches (17 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm).

Customer Comments about the Giustaforza

".....however I have been using mine now for a few months and have found it to be a great tool. I have used many a torque wrench and the size and weight of this one is just perfect for its purpose."

"I picked up the giustaforza back in January and I am pretty happy with it. It is light and easy to use on bike parts. The larger auto mechanic style ones sometimes twist in the bolt you are tightening and can end up stripping out the bolt. Plus when you are tightening your stem to 4Nm and you are using a 14" long lever it does not feel like a lot of force.

If you are just tightening stems and bars, the ritchey Torqkey is a nice tool and cheap. Here are three torque wrenches side by side for comparisons sake.
